…Can you guess what it is?
I miss choosing pretty dresses for prom + homecomings. (Well that and less responsibility..but I digress). I always loved the hunt of finding the “perfect” prom/homecoming/Christmas dance dress, and even though my style choices were questionable (at best) back then, I still had a blast creating my looks. I didn’t go the sorority route in college, so I rarely needed dresses for formals or events, and sometimes missed getting fancy.
Since I have two younger sisters I’ve loved helping them find unique dresses for prom, homecoming, date dance, graduation and May Crowning, and I feel like they are way more stylish than I was at that age. I attribute a lot of that to ASOS and Rent the Runway (both resources my friends and I didn’t have in high school haha). We have found so many killer dresses for my sister Gretchen as ASOS, and that is actually where I snagged my dress from.
Luckily (or unluckily) for me, I’m at the age where friends are starting to get married. I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding at the end of April and a guest at one the end of May, which means pretty dresses are in my future again. I’m debating wearing this dress to the May wedding, but I can’t decide if its too young….what do you think?
Also – if any of you ladies on a budget need dresses for anything this summer my recs would be ASOS, Rent the Runway and Lulu’s (personally I am not the biggest Lulu’s fan, but many friends love their stuff).
Happy Hump Day friends. Thanks so much for reading + stay tuned for Friday —> a big life update post is coming your way.
PS. This dress could work well if you’re a “dress up for Easter” kind of person as well 🙂
