It’s no secret that I love print mixing, and my closet is full of tried and true favorites that I know work well together. Today I thought I would share my top 3 tips for mixing and matching patterns in your closet.

3 tips for pattern mixing:

1.) Have a common color (or colors) so the patterns coordinate.

[navy and white are in my shirt and shorts]

2.) Have different size patterns.

[the smaller gingham print pairs well with the larger floral print. two large patterns or two small ones can clash]

3.) Keep the accessories neutral

[with two patterns and multiple colors, there is probably enough going on with the outfit already. keep jewelry minimal and shoes + bags neutral!]

Pattern mixing is an easy way to get the most of your wardrobe, tell me, are you a fan of pattern mixing?
