If I had to choose one animal print, I would say leopard rules the fashion world. But, I don’t think snakeskin gets enough credit.
After digging through the archives I realized two things:
1.) I wear a whole heck of a lot of leopard print – specifically the Banana Republic clutch I bought 3 years ago that is ALWAYS on the blog (see above)
2.) I have a nice little starter collection of snakeskin print shoes
Now, as I mentioned before, not all leopard print is created equal – and this rule 150% applies to snakeskin as well. For this print I would recommend sticking to accessories; think shoes, clutches, purses and phone cases.
Here are a few ways I’ve showcased (faux) snakeskin on the blog:
hands down, one of the best purchases ever. Great size, great color, and they have some pretty good end of season sales!
I don’t think we even need to mention again how in LOVE I am with these sandals
this Kate Spade bag is one of those impulse surprise sale buys that you thank yourself for snagging
These flats were a steal from ASOS and I received compliments all the time
this phone case is from the same brand as my FAVORITE magenta clutch – Gigi New York
these are from H&M years ago & are starting to look a bit rough…but they’re so comfy!
If you’re looking to add a little sass to your life, I would turn to snakeskin. There are shoes & bags for everyone’s budget in this pattern. If you’re a huge fan and looking for genuine snakeskin purses, I recently discovered a brand local to California- Farbod Barsum. They have a full line of exotic prints, but they are expensive!
If you’re looking to add a little fun on a budget – feel free to check out the products I linked below!
Have a great day!
